Rochelle McCord is an alumna of the Buenaventura Ballet Company and a former faculty member of the academy. She studied under the expertise of Carolyn Taylor and other faculty members from childhood to early adulthood, and notes that even today Ms. Taylor continues to be a valuable mentor and an excellent teacher.
Rochelle left the academy to pursue further education as a dance major at the University of California Santa Barbara in 1996. Rochelle has performed in numerous productions; including Disney's Light Magic Parade and the television commercial which preceded the parade's premier at the Disneyland Theme Park. She enjoys the discipline and grace that accompany a dancer's rigorous training, and says those attributes continue to shine through in her academic, social and professional relationships.

Rochelle has designed this website as part of her final coursework in the
department of journalism at California
State University Long Beach, and as a way to repay Ms. Taylor for a lifetime
of valuable dance instruction and most importantly eternal friendship.
Rochelle will graduate Cum Laude in May 2002 from California State University Long Beach with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She currently resides in Orange County.
I wish to thank Carolyn, my family and my friends for believing in me. Dreams can become reality with inner strength, perseverance and love. I also wish to thank those dancers who have touched my life in ways only dancers can, you know who you are...and I love you.
